- Take a loop from the house to Bidache to admire the castle and enjoy a taloa (Basque flatbread) while following the Bidouze River.
- Discover the secrets of the Mixe Woods in Bidache (a 10-minute drive away).
- Climb to the Soyartze Chapel to admire the 360-degree panoramic view of the Basque Country (a 25-minute drive away).
- Walk one or two stages of the Camino de Santiago (Way of St. James): Arrancou - Bergouey - Viellenave - Saint Palais - Ostabat.
- Go for a swim in the Gave River at Escos in Béarn (15-minute drive).
- Hike up Ursuia and have lunch at the Komeiteko Borda farm inn (40 minutes).
- Stroll through Bayonne (40 minutes by car or bus from Bidache).
- Go for a swim at Anglet's Chambre d'Amour beach or take the Promenade de la Barre to the Biarritz lighthouse (50-minute drive).
- Enjoy tapas in San Sebastián (1-hour drive or Topo in Hendaye).
